Layers by Uditaa
Layers was founded in 2017 by Uditaa Bansal, a graduate from Academy of Pastry Art, Gurgaon. She is here to offer people a taste of French Patisserie. She wants to bring Paris to Kanpur- from Macarons, to Choux Pastries and Tarts to some exquisite Entremets.
Prepared with the most premium quality of ingredients, each dessert offered by Layers is not only a treat to your taste buds but also to your eyes as it stands out as a piece of art.
Inspiration and Story
Uddita left her perfectly decent job with one of the best designers of the country (Ritu Kumar) to chase her childhood passion of becoming a pastry chef. She had started baking with her mother since she was a child and since then had always known that baking makes her happy and that she could do it for the rest of her life. After completing her diploma from Academy of Pastry Arts, Gurgaon (Asia’s leading Pastry Schools), she was determined to start her own venture. And all she did after that was practice, practice and practice before she finally launched Layers.
She entered the market with fresh ideas and desserts that we had only seen, tried and relished when traveling across the cobbled streets of Paris. Drawing most of her inspiration from European Pastry Art, Uditaa curated her menu with a variety of modern French pastries and cakes including Macarons, Entremets, Choux Pastry, French Pastries, Marshmallows, Tarts, cheesecakes and a lot more.
